What is Jackpot Fishing?
Jackpot Fishing is an arcade-style fishing game from JILI, played on PH28 in the Fishing category. Instead of spinning reels, you shoot at fish swimming across the screen. Each fish has a coin value; when your shot hits and defeats a fish, you win that amount multiplied by your bullet cost. The game adds boss fish with higher rewards, special weapons and a progressive jackpot round that can trigger at random.
JILI fishing games are popular among Filipino players because the gameplay is active — you aim and shoot in real time — and rounds are quick, so you can play a few minutes or a longer session depending on your schedule.
How a fishing round works
- Choose your room and bet level. Jackpot Fishing offers several rooms with different minimum and maximum bets per bullet. Higher rooms cost more per shot but the coin values on fish are scaled up to match.
- Aim and shoot. Tap or drag on the screen to aim your cannon at a fish, then tap the fire button. Each shot costs your selected bullet value. Fish move across the screen in waves; some swim fast, others slow.
- Defeat fish to win coins. When your bullet (or the explosion radius from a special weapon) hits a fish enough times to defeat it, you collect the coin value shown on that fish, multiplied by your bullet cost. Larger and rarer fish have higher coin multipliers.
- Boss fish and special rounds. Occasionally a boss fish appears — a large, slow-moving target with a much higher coin value. Defeating a boss before it leaves the screen awards a bigger prize. The game may also trigger a jackpot round where you shoot at targets for a chance to win the progressive jackpot.
The exact coin values, fish types and special-weapon effects are shown on the game's info (ⓘ) screen. Always check it before you play, as fishing games from different studios or even different JILI titles have their own rules.
Special weapons and power-ups
Jackpot Fishing includes special weapons that cost more per shot but cover a wider area or deal more damage:
- Auto-aim. Toggle auto-aim to have your cannon lock onto nearby fish automatically. Useful when the screen is crowded, but it may not always pick the fish you want.
- Bomb or cannon upgrades. Some shots create an explosion that damages multiple fish at once. The cost is higher, but if several fish are grouped together the total win can be larger than single shots.
- Freeze or slow. Certain power-ups slow down all fish on the screen for a few seconds, making it easier to target high-value fish before they swim away.
Each weapon or power-up has a different cost. The game deducts the cost from your balance when you fire, and any wins are added immediately when a fish is defeated.
Jackpot round
The progressive jackpot in Jackpot Fishing is a prize pool that grows as players across PH28 place bets in the game. At random, the game triggers a jackpot round for your table:
- A special screen appears with targets or chests. You shoot at them to reveal prizes.
- The round continues until you uncover the 'collect' symbol or run out of shots.
- Prizes can include coin multipliers or a share of the progressive jackpot. The full jackpot is rare — most rounds award smaller bonuses.
You cannot choose when the jackpot round starts; it is triggered by the game at random. Higher bets do not make it more likely, but since the jackpot is shared, the size of the pool depends on how much has been played recently across all tables.
What to know before you play
- Start in the lowest room. Try a few rounds at the minimum bet level to see how fast you spend and how often you defeat fish. If your balance grows, you can move to a higher room; if it drops quickly, the lower room is safer.
- Watch your balance. Fishing games can feel fast because you are shooting continuously. Set a stop point before you start — when your balance reaches that amount, finish the round and take a break.
- Target medium fish, not always the boss. Boss fish have high coin values, but they also take many shots to defeat. If other players are shooting at the same boss, you may spend bullets without getting the win. Sometimes it is better to focus on the smaller, easier fish that you can defeat on your own.
- Fishing games are still random. Even though you aim and shoot, the game decides whether your shot defeats a fish based on probabilities set by the developer. No aiming skill or timing pattern changes those odds — it is the same randomness as a slot, just presented as an arcade game.
