What is this?

An online version of offering incense at a temple, the way people do at Ma-Cho Temple in La Union or the temples of Binondo. Pick a deity, place fruit and flowers, light the red candles, offer incense and hang your wish on a red plaque.

How it works

1. Choose a deity. God of Wealth for money, Kuan Kong for protection, Kuan Yin for safety, Yue Lao for love.
2. Offer incense. One or three sticks is customary; three stand for Heaven, Earth and Man. They burn in real time, about 30 minutes for a standard stick, and keep burning even if you close the page.
3. Make a wish. Write it down, hang it before the deity, and come back to give thanks when it comes true.
